This symposium was first held in December 1980 to bring together experts from diverse fields of ultrasonics, including both fundamental and applied topics. Since then, nearly 40 years of innovations in ultrasonics have been presented and discussed at this symposium. The symposium consists of oral and poster presentations in a single session. The symposium has accepted a wide range of papers and presentations in English from all over the world since 2004, and one of the three meeting days is reserved for fully International Session.
Moreover, all posters have been presented in English since 2006. Over 250 papers and 400 participants are expected, including a plenary talk by the distinguished lecturer of IEEE UFFC. Authors of presented papers are eligible to submit regular paper or brief note to a Special Issue on Ultrasonic Electronics in the Japanese Journal of Applied Physics (JJAP).
Young Scientist Awards will be selected from the papers presented at the symposium, and Best Paper Awards will be selected from the papers published in the Special Issue. We welcome you to USE2019, and hope you will enjoy a fruitful conference and pleasant stay in Tokyo.
