Intended use of personal information
The personal information you provide to the USE steering committee will only be used to ensure that the symposium runs smoothly, such as for shipment of products, responses to inquiries, and announcement of the conference information, etc.
Control of personal information
The USE steering committee will establish management systems relating to personal information protection that will ensure that all personal information is stored securely.
Provision of personal information
The USE steering committee will not provide personal information to third parties except in the following specified cases.
- if we have your consent to share the information
- if required by law or regulations
- if our services are consigned to trusted partners
Disclosure and update of personal information
If you request the disclosure, correction or update of your personal information, we will comply with this within reason. However, it is impossible for us to accept your request in the following cases:
- if there is a possibility of damaging a person’s life, health, assets or other effects
- if we judge the request to cause a major delay in the preparation of USE
- if required by law or regulations
(b) Links to other websites
The USE steering committee disclaims any responsibility for the security of personal information used on third parties' websites that are linked to the USE website. We recommend you to read the privacy policy on each website.
(2) Copyright

- The copyright for all contents in the Symposium Proceedings belongs to Symposium on Ultrasonic Electronics Organizing Committee, and one cannot use any contents in the proceedings without permission. However, when authors of the proceedings use figures and tables in their proceedings paper for their corresponding JJAP special-issue (Ultrasonic Electronics) paper, the authors can use them without permission. In this case, however, the authors must cite the proceedings paper in the JJAP paper.

- The USE organizing committee holds the copyright to programs, text, and photographs on this website and the related materials.
(3) Visa Information
The application for a visa may take two to three months or even longer. If a visa has not been granted one month before the symposium date, the applicant should notify the Symposium Secretary without delay.
Procedure for Entry into Japan
As a rule, any foreign national who seeks to enter Japan must first possess a valid passport issued by the government of his/her country and obtain a visa relating to the purpose of his/her visit from a Japanese embassy or consulate abroad. At the time of entry into Japan he/she shall undergo an examination by an Immigration Inspector at an airport or a seaport and shall have his/her passport endorsed for entry with a stamp.
Visas
Unless specifically exempted from visa requirements, a foreign national seeking entry into Japan should apply for a visa at a Japanese embassy or consulate in his/her country and have the visa stamped in his/her passport. For more information, please see the following visa-related web sites:
