You are cordially invited to the 32nd Symposium on Ultrasonic Electronics to be held in Kyoto, Japan, from 8th to 10th of November, 2011.
This symposium was first held in December 1980 to bring together experts from diverse fields of ultrasonics, including both fundamental and applied topics. Since then, more than a quarter of a century of innovations in ultrasonics have been presented and discussed at this symposium. The symposium consists of oral and poster presentations in a single session in the hope that all participants may enjoy all of the presentations and interact in discussions of their common research interest.
Consistent with the international orientation of the symposium, papers and presentations in English are most welcome from all over the world, and one of the three meeting days is fully dedicated to the International Session. All poster presentations are displayed in English as well. Over 300 papers and 500 participants are expected, including an invited talk by a distinguished lecturer from the IEEE UFFC. Authors of presented papers are eligible to submit a regular paper or a communication to a Special Issue on Ultrasonic Electronics of the Japanese Journal of Applied Physics (JJAP). Young Scientist Award will be selected from the papers presented at the symposium, and Best Paper Award will be selected from papers published in the Special Issue.
Autumn is one of the best seasons for visiting Kyoto, and the Jidai Matsuri, one of three major festivals in Kyoto will be held at this time. We welcome you to Kyoto and hope you will enjoy a very pleasant and fruitful stay in Kyoto.
