We cordially invite you to participate in the 30th Symposium on Ultrasonic Electronics in Kyoto, Japan, on 18-20 November 2009.
This symposium was first held in December 1980 to bring together experts from diverse fields of ultrasonics, including both fundamental and applied topics. Since then, more than a quarter of a century of innovations in ultrasonics have been presented and discussed at this symposium. The symposium consists of oral and poster presentations in a single session. Since 2004, the symposium has accepted a wide range of papers and presentations in English from all over the world, and one of the three meeting days is reserved for such an International Session. Moreover, since 2006 all poster sessions have been presented in English. Over 250 papers and 400 participants are expected, including an invited talk by a distinguished lecturer from the IEEE UFFC. Authors of presented papers are eligible to submit a regular paper or a communication to a Special Issue on Ultrasonic Electronics of the Japanese Journal of Applied Physics (JJAP). Young Scientist Awards will be selected from the papers presented at the symposium, and Best Paper Awards will be selected from papers published in the Special Issue.
We welcome you to Kyoto. We hope you will enjoy a very pleasant and fruitful stay.
